CLOSED FOR THE SEASON
UNFORTUNATELY, ONLY A HANDFUL OF THE FEW UNRIPENED BLUEBERRIES HAVE BEGUN TO TURN AND THEY ARE OF VERY POOR QUALITY IN TASTE AND TEXTURE SO WE WILL NOT REOPEN FOR ANY PICKING THIS SEASON.

Blueberries are weighed and sold by the pound at $2.40 per lb (includes tax) we accept cash and checks only ( 1 lb. = 1 1/4 pints)
We have been active at the Blacksburg Farmers Market since 1998 and do not permit the resale of our berries at this market.

* WE ARE COMPLETELY CHEMICAL FREE--no pesticides or weed killer and when fertilizing, we only use organic products.
TASTING ENCOURAGED as we have several different varieties within our approx. 900 bushes that can vary in flavor.
We supply buckets for picking and bags for take home--although many choose and are welcome to bring their own take home containers or boxes.
NO BACKPACKS, SHOULDER BAGS OR OTHER LARGER SIZE PURSES / BAGS PERMITTED IN THE PATCH
NO DOGS PLEASE -no exceptions -our own are often there with us
Pre-picked blueberries are generally available at the Blacksburg Farmers Market during our active season on most Sat. mornings and Wed . afternoons They do sell out quickly though, so come early.

Sorry, we do not offer pre-picked at the u-pick farm.
We have ample parking and do not require notice for groups coming out.

Gnats can be a nuisance at times--we always have bug spray on hand.
On days with persistent rain or drizzle--we will close--I have found the best indicator for current weather conditions is going to: www.weather.com and entering zip code 24128 or Newport, VA and then clicking on the radar map which will show what kind of conditions are heading our way over the next few hour

DIRECTIONS: Windrush Farm is in the beautiful New River Valley of SW Virginia just outside Blacksburg--home of Virginia Tech.
from N Main at 460 in Blacksburg: 460w for 5 miles--left onto 605s---3.2 miles to farm on left --(about 10 minutes)
(the left onto 605s is about 1 mile once you enter Giles County from Mont. County)
from Pearisburg: 460E for 15 miles--right onto 605s--3.2 miles to farm on left (about 20 min.)
from Roanoke: 81 S to exit 118B --follow 460W toward VT (from this point, refer to Blacksburg directions) (about 50-60 minutes from Roanoke)
